The Shift is in Your Movement

Can You Believe It’s December Already?

I keep hearing one word in my spirit: "Finish."

We’re surrounded by the mantra to "just start" on social media, especially on TikTok—"start your business," "start your health journey," "start that dream you’ve been putting off." And while starting is important, let me remind you: some of you don’t need to start. You need to FINISH.

The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 7:8, “The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride.”There is power in completing what God has asked of you.

Delayed obedience is still disobedience.

That thing God placed in your heart? That vision you’ve been sitting on? That shift you so desperately desire won’t come by simply waiting for the “perfect time.” The shift happens in your movement. Remember, James 2:17 tells us, “Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” God is ready to meet your steps with fresh grace, mercy, and favor.

But here’s the key: don’t just submit to what God is asking you to do. Submerge.

Submission is acknowledging His will, but submersion is allowing yourself to be completely immersed in it. It’s saying, "Lord, I’m not just dipping my toes in—I’m diving into Your plan, no matter how scary or uncertain it feels."

Romans 12:1-2 reminds us to “offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”Submersion requires transformation and total trust in His will.

Finish Strong This December

This December, as the year closes, I challenge you to look at what you’ve started but left unfinished. That project, that dream, that prayer you’ve been too afraid to pray boldly—pick it back up. Philippians 1:6 reminds us that, “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” God’s not done, and neither should you be.

Here’s the beauty of finishing: it’s not just about completing tasks or reaching goals. It’s about stepping into the fullness of who God has called you to be. It’s about closing this chapter of 2024 with the confidence that you’ve moved in obedience, even when it wasn’t easy.

Practical Steps to FINISH Strong:

  1. Write Down What Needs to Be Completed
“Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.” (Habakkuk 2:2) Be clear about what God is calling you to finish.

  2. Pray for Direction
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

  3. Take Small, Consistent Steps
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” (Zechariah 4:10) Finishing doesn’t mean sprinting to the finish line. It means staying steady, even when you feel tired.

  4. Speak Life Over Yourself
“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” (Proverbs 18:21) Declare God’s promises over your life daily.

  5. Celebrate Progress
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4) Every step forward is a victory worth celebrating.

A Fresh Start Before the New Year

Let this be the month you stop delaying what God has already equipped you to do. He’s waiting for your "yes," but more than that, He’s waiting for your action. The finishing touch you’re longing for—the breakthrough, the open door, the transformation—has already been set in motion. All you have to do is move.

So, as December unfolds, I leave you with this: Don’t just submit to God’s will—submerge into it. The finish line is closer than you think, and His grace will carry you there.

Did You Hear About Our Prayer Wall?

Every Sunday and Wednesday, we come together to post prayers on our wall, standing in faith and agreement as a community. As Jesus said in Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Let’s stay connected, pray together, and finish this year strong in unity and purpose. If you feel led, please leave us a comment and share your prayers with us.

Please share this with someone who needs to hear it, and be part of the Rich Crew by staying connected. Let’s finish strong together!
